Notandia support

Get help with publisher highlights, footnotes, references and optional publication-update checks.

Start here

• Pin Notandia from your browser’s extensions menu so its popup is easy to find.
• Open Notandia on the article or search page. Check that the publisher profiles you want are enabled.
• Publisher colors reflect your watchlist. They do not rate the quality of a paper.
• Enable optional NCBI identifier lookups or Crossref publication-update checks only if you want those online features.

Missing or incorrect highlights

Support depends on the website’s structure and available scholarly identifiers. Search engines and journal layouts can change. If an item is missed, highlighted incorrectly, or shown more than once, report the public page URL, your browser and Notandia version, and what you expected to happen.

For footnote or reference-navigation problems, include the citation number. A screenshot can help, but remove account details, private tabs and other personal information first.

Publication updates

Crossref checks look for registered retractions, corrections and other formal updates by DOI. NCBI’s PMC ID Converter helps connect DOI, PMID and PMCID identifiers. A record that is unresolved, failed or deferred has not been successfully checked. No detected notice is not a guarantee that a paper has no issues.

Privacy questions

Read the Chrome privacy policy or privacy overview for other browsers. GitHub issue reports are public: do not include passwords, medical information or confidential documents.
